As i said the only thing he doesn't have is being a world class striker because of his lower conversion rate compared to
the strikers playing for the teams you mentioned.

play as a
striker challenging each other as they look to break into the first -
team, otherwise Malen could potentially be a blocker
for us.
It is particularly difficult
for strikers to break through the ranks into the first -
team at the bigger clubs at present, with most sides opting to
play only one
striker in the starting XI, and Arsenal is no different on that front.
With Wayne Rooney showing his credentials
for playing as a
striker in the 2 - 0 win over Sunderland this weekend, here's a suggestion
for Louis van Gaal as he looks to pick his best Manchester United
team for the rest of the season...
goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a
team can improve is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him
for that because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His style of
play is ok
for us but a
striker who can take on players and run behind defences very well would make us very strong and also should be clinical.
For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of goal too much.
For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck
for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
Wenger has no tactics,
plays his favourite players over better players, gives long term contracts to average and injury prone players, hates strong physical players,
plays players out of position, always looking
for excuse like refrees and saying other
teams played more in pre season, does nt spend money on players required like if we need
strikers he will buy CAM, waits
for other
teams to buy top players and signs average on deadline day, calls accident when we lose, talks cohesion and mental strength when we beat terrible
teams and win mickey mouse trophy like Asia cup and community shield.
With United thus far often having to resort to
playing strikers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in wide positions, Perisic could be the final piece in Mourinho's
team looking to challenge
for the title this year.

striker for his national

that tactic worked fantastically at the star of this season where walcott performed and it worked brilliantly
for the
team but after the injury of Theo, giroud had his dry patch and theo almost did nt even try... and the year before welbeck
played reaaaally bad as a starting
striker and scored 4 goals or something i think, if he had one worldclass or equally good
striker as giroud, we would have enough and wenger could rotate them according to the patch / form of giroud like what he intended to do with walcott and giroud, which i had high hopes
for but sadly only worked
for half the season
(3) formation flexibility — it took 20 years
for Wenger to return to a back 3 and now he can't seem to choose anything but that formation... the
teams in the premiership and those we could face in the Europa will present vastly different tactics and we need to have a manager who can prepare this squad
for this eventuality and have the fortitude to make the necessary adjustments throughout the season... I have seen nothing in the past 6 - 7 years to suggest that he is the man to take on this challenge... I can't even remember when he changed formations when he would replace a small, pacy
striker, like during the Walcott experiment, with the lumbering Giroud... of course this is exactly why there is no other manager in the world that
plays more players out of their natural positions (square peg in a round hole)
The problem is that
for other
strikers playing for other
teams I tend to see highlights so see the goals and very near misses, some have a lot of pace.
Fair enough, I just wonder if he'd still be
playing top flight football if he had been at United from the start with such a horrendous injury record, Fergie would have shipped him off ages before his eventual recovery, dare I say he was destined to win the Premier league the season he won it with United anyways, he was the hottest
striker in the league
for those two seasons, the only thing we lacked in his final season at Arsenal was enough creativity behind him and a lack of suitable replacement to take ocassionally take the load off him, but then Cazorla, Poldi and Giroud had been brought in
for re-inforcements, he
played with a patently inferior
team to Arsenal's that season at United, with the exception of Rooney of course, he single handedly carried them to the title, what away to show loyalty.
I get what you're saying I really do and maybe just maybe with a little luck we could have got a positive result but firstly my argument is why would you pay # 50m
for a
striker and not
play him and why would you
play someone in defence that's never
played there before against the best
team in England, secondly we have had referee decisions go our way many times but that's just how it goes.
The best thing to happen over the next week from an Arsenal fan's point of view would be
for the manager of the Chile national
team to err on the side of caution and not
play our
striker Alexis Sanchez in their World Cup qualifier and
for the former Barcelona star to arrive back in London with a clean bill of health.
It's difficult to blame Ozil
for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order
for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate
for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a
striker who
plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil
playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German
team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
That double also puts him into the top 10 leading goalscorers
for the France national
team and to withing three of the former Arsenal
striker Sylvain Wiltord who took 92 games to reach that number while Giroud has only
played 60.

striker who he believes should be
playing for the England senior
team in a few years time.
But I have been saying the same thing about Sanchez since last season, his first game in the Charity shield and then that game against Villa earlier last season when he
played striker, I noticed that he was so poor in possession and can't link up
play with his
team mates, he has the worst passing
for a player of his calibre..

for potential title contenders.

With the signing of Draxler it is believed that Wenger will be happy with the number of wide forwards at his disposal
for next season which will include Welbeck, who Wenger feels needs more time before
playing as the
teams main central
striker.
this is what can really make our season when you know sanchez will leave
for free next season why pay his wages sell him to psg and build a
team which can stay here
for years give psg sanchez and 30 million and get draxler verati krychowiak even auriar if a deal falls through when you want to win league you sould have a big squad with good players on bench look at city manu and chelsea they all have good players we need these 4 players there is no player other then ozil who can create a goal
for stricker or
play a killer pass niether bellerin or oxlade can not
play a good threatning ball when
striker is in the box if we get them
I think our transfers have been top top quality and expect that wenger knows what he's doing.it's amazing how people rant about the DM or CB or
striker position.I say shut the hell up and support the
team, there's still 75points to
play for and with key players returning I believe we'll do better than 4th position.
lst season at stamford bridge, was the first time i saw that 4 -1-4-1 formation being used, and
for some weird reason i feel a very strange negative vibe and well all know the outcome.the manager has come back with this formation and its not yielding result, but he still sticks with it.i do nt know much about formations dear friends, but if you are
playing a slow dm in arteta and a very very slow cb, then you are toast against quality
teams with sound tactics.wen
playing wellbeck as a lone
striker, i think 4 -2-3-1, will work better, but if we have a big player like oliver (boooos), thn we can try the 4 -1-4-1, thingy cos he can hold the ball
for our midfielders to run in.but on the overall, shame on wenger
for not giving our defence a good cover DM.NO BODY
PLAYS A SLOW DM / CB AND EXPECT TO B REGARDED AS CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL.IT HURTS GUYS, REALLY HURTS.
Mistamonn most of the time his
playing players out of position is because we don't have the necessary depth of players
for each position specially on the left, the
team is always out of balance he rely needs to buy W / C if not top players in key positions, last year i was commenting that we needed a
striker before a class DM but i was so wrong, we first need the best DM that money can buy no mater how much then and only then we can look
for another class DM and a couple of descent defenders.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test
for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal
team... Perez should have been
played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring
for a real
striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not
for a
team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying
for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the
team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
luvdaguns the only problem with that is if what some experts say is true and Vardy don't fit in to our
team play then we are snookered once again without a top
striker, we should of gone
for Zlatan with two year contract and see if Dany comes up trump,
Not getting a top
striker (as good as Aguero, RVP, Costa who are all
playing for teams ahead of us in the table) 7.
With less than ten games left to
play and a combination of injuries and weak support plaguing the
team, Arsenal
striker Alexis Sanchez is on pace
for his lowest goal total in league
play in over five years.
I still believe he has the quality to
play a big role
for our
team, but that doesn't change the fact that we need a top
striker to rival him
for his role.
Well that's your opinion.I
for one think Giroud is one of the most average
strikers to ever
play for Arsenal.I would be vindicated by their performances this season.Do you think any top
team apart from Arsenal will take Lukaku and Morata over Giroud?I don't see what's so good about him.All he does is turn his back away from goal and hopes a fhance comes his way to score. There's nothing special about Giroud.
Now the 4 -4-2 or the similar 4 -2-3-1 would work nicely
for arsenal dependent on the opponent and the players use, i would love to see a welbeck and Sanogo in the first formation against
teams like chelsea, stoke, mancity, liverpool these
teams do not like
playing against two
strikers against the other
teams i would use the latter formaition, in both formation we need to holding MF, preferable a quick physical presence is needed
for one while the other is more creative
We need to change some players, even if they are good players to make our game more dinamic, more complete. If Walcott will leave, definetly Sterling is the right choose to
play with Sanchez. If Bayern will want Ozil, I think we should let him go.I think mutch people will be not agree with this, Ozil is a great player BUT is not a complete player, doesn't have enough speed and is seems sometimes like he is not involved in the game.I think a switch with Gotze can be benefic
for our
team, he run alot, is creative and make the defensive as well.We need a
Striker to, but a good one, someone like Benzema or Cavani, someome who can get at least 20 goals per season.A new DM is what we need
for balance the game, I think Vidal is the best in the world in this moment (is just my opinion), he working hard in defence and can win a game with a long shot. This is the way I see footbal.
I
for one would go and get him straight away as Ben Yedder is an all round
striker a bag of tricks he
plays in a lower
team and scored a bag full of goals which means he fought hard against better defenders to get his goals Ben Yedder can come at you from any direction with either foot and score and he is good at set pieces two I would be ecstatically delighted if we sign him up as we would have our own Mahrez
We should stop promoting Wilshere because he an English man
for now that guy is not yet fit to
play for England
team, likewise
for his club period, Arsenal is looking
for aggressive and a speedy
striker to enable compete
for the top four not someone that will
play today and tomorrow his off and dismantle the clubs plans because of injury or that, is it not the same Wilshere that some of the fan where criticizing him
for all sort thing and call
for his exist at Arsenal because he was a smoker and indiscipline?
i still hold the opinion the
striker we use is dependent on the opposition we
play,
for all the brilliance of Alex he has been shut out in several games by pressing arsenal and letting us having to resort to long balls which he fails to get on to, if
teams stops arsenal build up, they stop arsenal with sanchez as the forward, however with both Alex and Giroud on the field we have the opportunity to switch styles without making changes.
My real concern is up front,
for the wide positions and cf we have a total of 5 first
team players, Welbeck, Giroud, Walcott, Ox and Sanchez also Cazorla Ramsey and Ozil will
play a game or 2 out wide but I really think we need either a winger or a
striker, they don't even need to be out of this world someone like Mertens, Callejon, Pedro, Immobile, Llorente, Austin, Pelle would do.
We currently have Giroud as the fully fit 1st
team striker, super Sanchez
playing from anywhere has scored a lot more goals and don't talk about injuries, even if you take them game
for game Giroud is dead in comparison.
The six players are; young
striker Chuba Akpom who has been on fire this season and scored a hat - truck in the last under 21 game, Gedion Zelalem, the central midfielder who has been compared to Cesc Fabregas, Ainsley Maitland - Niles, the talented winger who was on the bench
for the Stoke game, Stefan O'Connor the promising 17 - year old centre back who recently signed his first professional contract, Alex Iwobi the Nigerian born winger and nephew of Jay - Jay Okocha and finally the young defensive midfielder Glen Kamara who also
plays for the Finland national
team at under 21 level.
I agree mostly with what has been said, I do actually think that Lacazette is the cheaper and younger option which will obviously prove vital
for Wenger and Aubamayang is a better player maybe but when you consider he will disappear every other year to go and
play in the ACON we would be losing our main
striker for an important part of the season too often and that has to be a serious issue
for any
team
It is easy to understand Sherwood's stance on the issue, while he will be reluctant to let his star
striker move to another club, he is well aware of the fact that Benteke really should be
playing for a bigger
team and should a big - money offer come in, the former Spurs boss will certainly not stand in the way of the deal, so I believe that Arsenal can get him if Wenger is indeed interested.
The young Brazilian winger, who can also
play just behind the main
striker, has not yet
played a competitive game
for the Gunners» first -
team since joining from Fluminense all the way back in 2011 as an exciting prospect
for the future.
Giroud forgets that his role as a
striker is to score goals. His hold up
play is excellent, but a
striker should be concentrating on scoring. He needs to change his game so he can loose his marker and
play a more effective role
for the
team.
am tired of wenger.the man has got good skills, but somehow he fails to address basic issues in the
team like buying a
striker and a cdm in the last summer.at one time, arsenal had good squad but had a keeper who at times committed mistakes i.e almunia.then after ozil came and arsenal were first in december, all wenger had to do was buy a pacy
striker with eye
for goal.but wenger did nt so obviously and instead bought an injured kallstrom.agreed ppl fans will keep saying managers shud hav
played this guy or that one and so.but in case of wenger, its abt ignoring
team issues t (to prove a point he can win without listening to critics and the fans which he never will), and then
playing players out of form, out of position, and buying players that do nt fit ur style like giroud!!
There are many
team players who put winning first and Giroud is not one of them, plus he doesn't even fit our style of
play, any
striker who goes 11 games without scoring ain't fit to wear the shirt and it's not like he's Mesut Ozil creating
for other, he's giving away the ball most of the time with a terrible 67 % passing average.
A native of Watford, Smith grew up idolizing Arsenal
striker Ian Wright while
playing for the local boys»
team, but when rival parents discovered that the spiky - haired lad scoring all those goals was really a lass, they had her removed from the league.
