I have plans to create some fun new ornaments for this tree in the next couple of weeks, but for now, I have simply wrapped some black and white
striped ribbon around it.

Once all the
strips are fused, you can move the fabric
around without worrying about the
ribbons slipping.
Take a piece of string,
ribbon, thread, or a thin
strip of paper and wrap it
around your finger, close to the knuckle.With a pen, carefully mark the spot where the string overlaps with its end and either hold it up to a ruler that has millimeter measurements, or to the graphic below.Use the chart to determine your ring size.
I find it easier to cut
strips of
ribbon and tuck them into the tree instead of going
around and
around the tree with a continuous piece.
I looped the first
ribbon around the top command
strip, the second 2
ribbons on the second command
strip, and last 2
ribbon loops on the 3rd command
strip.
Hang your valance back on the blinds, and hook the
ribbon loops
around your command
strips and fix the folds in the fabric.
And adding a wreath that is used all year round
around the house and slapping on a
striped red
ribbon made the space Christmas ready.
