of her pushiness and hostility was an attempt to get Mark to «make a woman
of me»; she recognized her
feelings of inadequacy as a woman who was
strong and assertive when she «should» be soft and «feminine.»
This gap often contributes to the Impostor Syndrome — a term used to describe the
feelings of inadequacy and self - doubt that plague high achieving professionals despite
strong evidence to the contrary.
