I haven't seen enough of BioShock Infinite to form
a strong opinion on the game itself, but I certainly concur with Levine's direction for the franchise.

Apparently an
opinion is clickbait - the headline reflects my honest
opinion but that is something people can not fathom; if anything, the
strong over-reaction is an indictment
on a certain contingent of «
gamers» and really just sums up point number 1 here:

Look I get that you guys all have
strong opinions on everything, as do I, but telling anybody that the way they enjoy playing a
game, which freely encourages customization, is «wrong» and «not fun» is just a stupid statement.
To be held at Vancouver's Centre for Digital Media, this unprecedented event will dispute the prevailing
opinion that video
games are for guys and that
games with
strong, female lead characters will not sell (as observed in a recent Gamasutra article), sending a message that such stereotypes are not only incorrect, but have a negative impact
on the industry.
Given there is scarcely a
gamer that doesn't have a
strong opinion on this subject, it is surprising we didn't get to it sooner.
I guess I have a pretty
strong opinion of what a review should be, and to me, the 9 - 10 range should be reserved for singular
games that either significantly innovate
on or perfect a genre.
