Task 1: This checks that
students can format a
chart and understand the link between the
data and what is visually represented.
Students complete a card sorting task and worksheet in order to select appropriate graphs and
charts to present geographical
data and explain reasons for using choosing appropriate
data presentation techniques.
Task 3: This asks
students to represent
data in specific ways and gives them examples of what the
charts should look like so they can self or peer assess.
Each question is levelled according to National Curriculum criteria, getting gradually harder and requiring
students to demonstrate knowledge of basic formatting, Formulas, Functions, SUM, Sorting and Filtering
data, Conditional formatting, CountIF, referencing other sheets, Conditional IF statements and finally adding
charts to represent
data at Level 7 standard.
After
students have displayed their
