Faculty who are all practicing artists, graduate
students in the school's top - ranked MFA program,
visiting artists, critics, authors,
gallery owners, and curators all play a role in exposing majors to the challenges and rewards of an art career.
This
gallery space is used to display a large array of Art works from
students, faculty and
visiting artist ranging from traditional 2d paintings and prints to Multi Media interactive installations.
Students can submit artwork for exhibitions, assist with
gallery installations, work with
visiting artists, attend workshops and panel discussions, apply for employment opportunities and curate exhibitions.
The
gallery presents museum - quality exhibitions, workshops and
visiting artist lectures all of which help to create a dialogue essential to the development and growth of
students within the arts.
The Peter Higdon Research Centre (PHRC), located on the second floor above the
galleries at 33 Gould Street, supports scholarly activities by
students, faculty, curators,
visiting artists and critical writers in an environment that maintains an extensive range of collections material.
During a Detroit
visit last spring with MFA painting
students at Cranbrook Acadamy of Art,
gallery director Clyde Beswick was introduced to the work of three artists, Anna Breininger, Erica Mahinay and Lauren Satlowski, all of whom were planning to move to Los Angeles upon graduation.
Each
gallery presents a year - round series of exhibitions, providing
students, faculty and the broader community easy access to thought - provoking art,
visiting artists and stimulating educational programs.
Through exhibitions and projects that include curated work of
visiting artists, cross-curricular collaborations, and
student shows, the
Gallery inspires
students, educators, artists, and all who
visit.
The programs offer
students opportunities to meet and work with exhibiting artists,
visiting curators and invited critics as well as to participate in the
gallery program working on research, administrative, and installation projects.
For «Frieze Teens» 2016,
students met with artists such as T.J. Wilcox and Jessi Reaves, and
visited contemporary
galleries, museums and nonprofit art spaces including Dieu Donné, Bridget Donahue
Gallery, Materials for the Arts, MoMA PS1, Project Projects and White Columns.

gallery and Jack's super cool wife, Mary, we were able to schedule a time for the
students to
visit Whitten's expansive studio in the lower level of a remodeled firehouse that he and Mary had made into their home in Woodside, Queens.

Student Gallery is hosting a closing reception for the Indigenous Visual Culture's Nigig
Visiting Artist Michael Belmore.
While in residence,
visiting artists will also actively intersect with fine arts faculty,
students and community members through a variety of class
visits,
gallery talks and day - to - day interactions.
Organized in collaboration with South Hampton High School, this group exhibition was framed by themes (Emerging, Assumed, Missing, Encoded, Local and Tribal Identity) and engaged
students in the process of making studio and
gallery visits, writing interpretive wall labels and catalogue entries, as well as selecting works from the museum's permanent collection.
During their
visits gallery talks, formal lectures and workshops are offered to Kenyon
students, staff and community members.
Gallery and exhibition locations throughout the art building are host to a variety of
student and
visiting artist exhibitions.
attRAct offers London - based A-level Art
students RA workshops, exhibition tours, studio
visits, mentoring sessions in the RA Schools,
gallery visits and careers and portfolio advice.

Hundreds of Toronto District School Board (TDSB)
students and educators will be able to
visit the Weston Family Learning Centre at the Art
Gallery of Ontario (AGO) each year for hands - on experience of art thanks to a new five - year partnership between the TDSB and the AGO.
Students will keep journals detailing their
gallery / museum
visits and place writing — including their own — under the microscope.
Every year, we present about a dozen exhibitions and special
gallery installations, acquire hundreds of works of art, guide thousands of school children on tours, host thousands of university
students to study the collection, engage Nasher Teens through weekly activities, welcome hundreds of visitors with dementia — and introduce many
