stuff about loving his
parents and kids
was real.
I
am not sure it
is about being strong — many codependents
are very strong for a very long time, coping with an addict and covering up for them and managing them and all the emotional
stuff that goes with it, alongside doing jobs and looking after kids as effectively a single
parent.
Essentially, this
is a set of sexual Geneva conventions: You never knew it, but not only do you have the right to minimal standards of treatment if you ever become a prisoner of war, but when you
were five, you had the right to learn at school all kinds of things
about what some people like to do in bed, and if your
parents thought that really they'd rather you didn't hear
about that
stuff at school, or at least not yet, they
were... well, they
were violating your rights.

are, not seeming to understand that as good as they might
be manners wise, by lying to them

parent or her children any better.

are also fans who offer constructive criticism who to someone like you or I could see it just as that since we have no dog in the fight, but to someone like Nojel
's mom who does have a dog fight any negative connotation
is going to
be seen as negative, it
's natural reaction for a
parent.
(I'd normally worry
about TMI here, but if you
're reading this you
're likely a
parent, who won't care, or an expecting
parent, who needs to learn this

Nothing makes
parenting easier than
being able to laugh
about the funny (and gross)
stuff that happens.

is an easy and enjoyable way for
parents to talk
about some of the «hard
stuff» of adoption.
All the kids would
be vaccinated, no one would
be trying to convert anyone to a religion or NCB and we could talk
about fun
stuff instead of how we gave birth or our
parenting choices!

Instead of banning books people should
be encouraging
