It hasn't been willing to do the really tough stuff since November 2007 and that's why it's gone from being the first entrant in the market to a # 3 or # 4 player.
It's a first step, but Amazon's got a long way to go to catch up with B&N's huge head - start in alienation of the customer base by taking stuff away without warning, and in leaving the customer service people clueless.
