As for Giroud I hope what I
'm hearing
is not true. You get the feeling that once Lacazette starts scoring he just won't like it.He
's also another overrated player who
's also hear because of Wenger
's kindness.Apart from the fact that he
's good with his head I don't see the positives of keeping here and even Welbeck. We
need players who can push Lacazette to perform and these
are just not the players.They
are more of rotation players.Do you think
if Welbeck and Giroud
were at top form they can challenge Laca at his best?I always laugh at our strikers though. On one hand, one doesn't fit our
style of play but at least he can finish. On the other hand, the one who fits our
style of play can't even score a goal.I can't believe we
are joking with such a crucial role.I
'm sick and tired of seeing average strikers in the club.It
's been painful watching the likes of Bendtner and Chamakh already. Now I have to cope with this.
goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not
been clinical. The only way a team can improve
is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you
need to
be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every player has his own
style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His
style of play
is ok for us but a striker who can take on players and run behind defences very well would make us very strong and also should
be clinical.For Welbeck he
needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of goal too much. For now he
is just above average. However he can excel
if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always
be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying goes
if you fool me once shame on you but
if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
If he can learn to pass more often he wouldn't

if you
are going to cut it at barca, you better

The sad thing
is is that we shall only get a few more years out of Monreal at his highest ability, before age starts to play a part on his
style of play, at which point Arsenal will have to consider whether Gibbs (
if he
's still with us)
is ready to retake his position, or
if a new player
is needed.
While his

I support you on the fact that Araenal
need a player who can make an immediate impact. However, it
's also naive to try to create an impression that he
's going to fail due to similar playing
style and stature of the players you mentioned above.Even Eduardo would have world class and possibly better than Van Persie
if not for his leg breaking. It
's likely Mbappe
is going to succeed and
if he gets signed up by another club we'll
be chasing him on the future. The same gamble
being taken on Mbappe
is the same that
was taken on Henry.
If Henry had failed I don't think Arsenal would've
been this great club today.This
is a very similar situation to Mbappe.Weneed players now to have an immediate impact but we should not
be inclined to think Mbappe would fail
if Arsenal should sign him.
The problem
is that any new manager will want to make their own signings to fit their own
style like Pochettino did at our friends down the road, but I doubt
if Kroenke will make the funds available for that, plus other staff will
need to
be brought in, ideally at board level, to fill the other roles that Wenger does, like a director of football and / or technical director.
playing with g - rod up front
is like sticking to fingers up to traditional arsenal play of fast movement one twos and pass and move football this
is very unlike wenger to make such a major shift away front his normal trends of
style of play big man up front with no pace just isn't the wenger way really he
needs to go back to the past really to answer the current problem i have noticed all the other top 4 teams
are more wenger they
are (wengerites to coin a phrase) than wenger himself playing with a big srtong pacey team like we use to have they all copied wengers blueprint and left him behind somewhere along the line and he altered his and its not
been the same since do nt change a winning system of power and pace
if it
is was working for you mr wenger
They say goals will
be distributed from midfielders to strikers, lets say: Alexis scores 20, Walcott 20, OG 20, mid scores around 20, thats 80 goals, and we all know OG wont score 20 plus, Chelsea won with 74 goals, but their defence
was so solid that they did nt
need more goals, while our
style demands goals,
if we do nt score in first half, our players
are starting to panic, something like against Swansea last year, we
were better but they won, to win those type games you
need someone to produce something special, OG simply cant do it
This
is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful»
style of play has become a shadow of it
's former self, only to
be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions
are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute...
if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud
was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances
was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin
's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which
was obvious to Wenger because there
was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season,
if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that
being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka
is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he
is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let
's face it Wenger
was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this
was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset
needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he
's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team
's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player
was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who
are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit...
if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would
be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon,
if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that
is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there
is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he
's lack of mobility
is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would
be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other
was just sold to Juve... man, this
is theraputic because following this team
is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
I can't stand welbeck for one reason he
's not better than what we have but
if you played a front two of welbeck and Sanchez then Cambpell left and Walcott or chaimbo right that would give us a huge counter attacking
style with lots of skill and pace, but here
is the problem to do this you
need big strong DM to win the ball back when we defend and we do t have them, flaming
is reckless and getting old, Arteta
is good on the Bala but not quick or strong enough, please don't say Diaby as we all know he will
be inj soon again, then also what to do with Ozil and Corzola?
