sub almond meal or all - purpose gluten - free baking flour for the whole wheat pastry flour.

If it's easier for you buy whole blanched almonds and grind them yourself than that's fine but I wouldn't
sub almond meal from raw almonds.

almond flour is called for, and have never had problems).

almond meal, but feel free to
sub in gluten - free flour instead.

You could try the
almond meal — not sure how the dough will respond though and it will have more carbs so if you're counting be sure to add the carbs for whatever you
sub with!

I used cupcake papers and they stuck badly to them so just wanted to advise anyone else who wants to
sub whole wheat flour for
almond meal to maybe spray your cupcake papers with cooking spray before putting the batter in.
Just seeing this now, I know it's like, a long time ago that you wrote this... but
almond meal can always be substituted for another type of nut flour, or even whole wheat flour if you're not gluten free, and arrowroot can be
sub'd for cornstarch if you don't have that or tapioca!
I made your recipe last night with the following variations:

almonds and left out the honey — plenty sweet for me with the applesauce.

sub W / W pastry flour and
almond meal in place of barley and then 1/2 c of graham flour and 1/2 c of millet flour.
If you don't have wheat or gluten allergies, feel free to try
subbing 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour for the

Bought vegan breakfast patties can be so expensive, and these satisfy the fast - food - like horrible / lovely cravings just fine I made them gluten free by
subbing the flour and wheat bran with just over 1 and 1/2 cups of my usual gf flour (1:1:1 of chickpea flour: arrowroot flour:
almond meal + about 2 Tbsp ground flax
meal + scant 1 / 2tsp xantham gum for every 1 cup of mix) and they turned out fantastic!

almonds, don't like them, and not allergic to other nuts, feel free to
sub in another tree nut like walnuts, pecans, or cashews and simply turn those into a nut

I find it very hard to do raw without nuts, but you could try
subbing coconut flour for the
almond meal.
I never thought I was going to get to eat cookie dough again after finding out I had a wheat allergy and am so happy I was wrong!!!! I came up a half cup short on the
almond flour and
subbed flax seed
meal and they still came out super tasty.
By using a combination of whole grain flours (or

It was my experience that a stright ingredient
sub, regular
almond meal for the degfatted, lead to a mealy and gross product.
