Not exact matches
Coconut flour is very different than almost any other
flour and can rarely work as a
sub in recipes that weren't designed
for it.
I used half AP
flour, half WW pastry
flour (I like chewier cookies and thought the AP might help
in that respect), brown sugar, halved the oats and
subbed in unsweetened organic
coconut for the rest, doubled the salt, and used Trader Joe's bittersweet chocolate.
;P Normally I'm ALL about substitutions, and go out of my way to offer
subs for anything and everything possible, but
coconut flour is simply
in a category all its own; no getting around it.
Almond
flour and
coconut flour require different moisture levels than many other gluten free
flours, so just
subbing them
in will throw off a recipe not originally written
for them.
I used whole wheat pastry
flour & organic
coconut sugar, and
subbed plain yogurt
for the cream cheese
in the icing.

I wouldn't recommend
subbing it
in your regular -
flour recipes; start with THM recipes that are written
for coconut flour.
I have
subbed oats
flour for coconut flour before because it is really absorbent but I usually do a bit more, so
in this case where is calls
for 1/4 cup of
coconut flour, I would try using 1/3 to a 1/2 cup oat
flour!
