Participants were asked to rank their level of anxiety (or lack thereof) on
subjects such as their country's current political leadership, economy, health care, cost of living, and their
perceived level of
threat from terrorism and military hostilities.
«Plants are
subject to attack by an onslaught of microbes and herbivores, yet are able to specifically
perceive the
threat and mount appropriate defenses,» said Gary W. Felton, professor and head of entomology.
