The oil will take a few hours to dry the first time you apply it, but up to eight or more hours
for subsequent coats.
Chalk paint dries very quickly and you can
begin subsequent coats within an hour or less, as soon as it is dry to the touch.
This isn't a problem for me personally as I only ever apply one coat of mascara, but if you love to load on that lash, you may have to play about a bit with the amount you apply
in subsequent coats.
3 coats of paint later (1 coat of Salamander, then two
subsequent coats of Chelsea Gray) and the room was feeling muchhhh more like us.
Eventually,
subsequent coats have no effect because all the light is already blocked.
However, I hate the sanding and all
the subsequent coats of paint I have to go through.
