I substituted flax meal for almond flour because my kids go to a nut free daycare and school.
Hubby and daughter are also allergic to nuts and legumes, so I will be
substituting flax meal for almond or chickpea meal in other recipes.

I see that this was a year ago, but in have the same issue and I

flax meal mixed with 3 tbls warm water to replace one egg.

flax meal is there to help bind the pancakes together, so my guess is that you shouldn't eliminate it, but instead
substitute in chia seeds.

I don't kntw how this will turn out, due to using coconut flour, however, to make my daughter's
meals dairy free, when I
substitute eggs, I use a
flax egg (1 Tbsp
flax seed w / 3 Tbsp water for each egg called for in a recipe, mix and set in fridge for 15 min b4 using).
You could use all hemp, or
substitute almond flour for the
flax meal — these are just suggestions though as I haven't actually tried either.

flax meal, which may work but won't produce a light and airy cupcake like coconut flour will.
