substitute other nut flours as well for variety, or if you have a nut allergy I have successfully used ground sunflower seeds as well.

nut flour (like cashew or hazelnut — both can be found at Trader Joes if you have one near you).

What's more, unlike typical
substitute recipes in many
other paleo cookbooks, these new and original grain - free baking methods have almost exclusively eliminated the need for the typical expensive agents like almond
flour and
other nut flours and
nut butters.
I find that quinoa, rice, millet are good
substitutes for grains, and good bread can be made from rice
flour, coconut or
other nut flour, and tapioca starch or potato starch.
