I've greatly enjoyed the chance to play through Tropical Freeze again, though as one of the few that does own a Wii U, and a copy of that
game I've got to also accept that I'm not really the target audience for
such a vanilla
porting effort.
Fuzion Frenzy filled the slot of being the «family friendly party
game» — should
such a genre actually exist — and simply seemed to have been developed to justify the Xbox's four controller

So far, the console has mostly gotten (late)
ports from them, or original
games with limited appeal (
such as Lost Sphear or Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon, which sold poorly on all platforms).
That said, even outlandish ideas
such as the
game being
ported to the new Nintendo Switch have begun to float around.
It bodes well for the PC
port of Phantom Pain that it has been pushed forward, hopefully it should avoid the technical issues that plagued
games such as Arkham Knight.
The

I am relieved to see that the Switch usually only suffers from a frame rate cut and a resolution drop on these multiplatform releases as opposed to the butchering
games often got on the Wii due to power, storage medium limitations
such as on the Gamecube and N64, and being hard to
port to due to an entirely different development environment as the case was with the Wii U. I realize that these statements are a little oversimplified because it IS more complicated than that but there are a whole lot of worse ways that Nintendo
ports have gotten neutered for the last two decades because of Nintendo's tendencies to veer left when the market goes right.

game to the new Wii Plus HD format would likely be lower than the cost of building a ground up Wii
game (we estimate under $ 5 million).

While anticipation has been building up for the console, Nintendo has barely said anything about it, only announcing that some
games (
such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild) will be coming up for it, and some of Nintendo's more popular
games would be
ported over to it.
But, given the low number of players of its Wii U
games, it may have deemed
such ports unlikely to turn a profit.
However, there is a slew of nice, olden
ported games on the consoles; The Binding of Isaac: Aftermath +, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and
such, but we're still mostly sticking to our favorite, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
It's
such a shame to see
such wasted potential — this
game could have been one of the forerunners of Steam's new Big Picture Mode, but instead, it's just another crappy console
port.
Right now a number of these
games are just mobile
ports but there are a few other
games in the works
such as «Chinese Paladin 6» which came out on PC in 2015.
First, we have details about the returning elements from Splatoon (
such as the weapons, stages, etc.): we learn that they were
ported from the original
game without any change, at least as far as the actual models are concerned.
Plenty of formerly PS3 / Xbox 360 only releases have been getting a Wii U
port announcement recently, though Black Ops 2 is the only
game to announce
such a
port for a timely three - platform release.
Some of these releases were simply
ports of
games already available in arcades, others were new titles altogether
such as the highly successful Super Nintendo title Star Fox.
They're something I'll take being that the
game was
ported over from PC, but they will certainly be noticeable to those who nitpick
such things.
Micro Machines videogames originated in 1991 when Micro Machines released on NES in 1991 which was later
ported to the Amiga, SEGA
Game Gear and Mega Drive in 1993 with further platforms
such as
Game Boy and SNES following in 1994.
