A growing collection of research suggests that excess
added sugar in the
diet has strong links
to cancer, and is already strongly tied with obesity, diabetes, and heart and other deadly cardiovascular diseases.
Though some advocates have suggested using teaspoons (that Coke can has 15 teaspoons of
sugar), the FDA has proposed that labels list the percent daily value for
added sugars, which means the amount of
added sugar you are advised
to consume each day in your
diet.
According
to the FDA,

diet, which we consume primarily from
sugar - sweetened drinks, is linked
to weight gain, hypertension and other health conditions and it contributes
to eating a less healthy nutrients.

sugar diet forever, I will have enough energy
to take over the world.

to verify that the extracts you use have absolutely no
sugars added to them!
So, with all of this knowledge, I decided
to cut out all
added sugar from my
diet for the week.
This only applies
to added sugars, when consumed in large amounts, in the context of a high calorie, Western
diet.
But, I've been feeling so much better that I've started
to gradually
add some things back into my
diet including the occasional berries and apples (low -
sugar fruit).

sugar to our

to include fiber and protein into your

diet yet, but I enjoy all other grains), and I avoid refined / cane
sugar as my body no - likey (I can eat all the honey, maple syrup, fruits, juices, and natural
sugars I want, but refined
sugar makes me feel icky so I simply avoid it).
Lifestyle changes such as
adding pumpkin seeds
to our
diets may not only help lower blood
sugar levels but also reduce inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract and manage cravings.
Since discovering that adrenal fatigue was contributing
to my blood
sugar issues, I've made a few more tweaks
to my
diet (you can read the full post here) and one of the biggest changes was
adding more (healthy) fat
to my
diet.
And two, strawberries are naturally sweet, so you can get your fix of sweets without actually
adding refined
sugar to your
diet.
