These are such a great alternative to
a sugar gu for an endurance athlete!

I would normally take supplements about every 30 minutes while riding like
GU or Clif Shots (high in
sugar, carbs and contain caffeine) and would normally have a high carb breakfast like Weetbix before heading off.
Both Gatorade and
GU's contain high amounts of simple
sugars.
But definitely get rid of the
GU's and any other
sugar, otherwise you'll be going backwards.
