One time I was out of brown
sugar so I used Trader Joe's organic sugar with great results.
I didn't have maple
sugar so I used coconut sugar instead.
Now that I am off the Candida Cleanse, I can have small amounts of
sugar so I used the base recipe and added walnuts and chocolate chips.

BUT, I really am confused about this no -
sugar thing when you
use so many dates.
Similar to South Carolina, the folks hereabouts think that mustard and pork (ham) go pretty well together,
so they stir up a batch
using ketchup, vinegar, brown
sugar and mustard to make a thicker yellow sauce.
I've made lots of Ella's recipes and I've absolutely loved all (except for the cacao oatmeal cookies which I found super bland), and I quitted
sugar and wheat almost 5 months ago
so my taste buds are
used to this kind of cooking,
so I figured I should give them a try.
The almond milk I
use is free from added
sugars, it's
so much nicer then skimmed milk too!
Hi Sarah, I prefer
using maple syrup to agave as I find it doesn't spike my blood
sugar so much but in terms of making a difference to the recipes,
using agave would be absolutely fine!
I mix the
sugar and oats with some coconut oil and apple cider vinegar, as they both work to smooth, soften and moisturise the skin while you scrub
so that your whole body looks and feels deliciously soft after you
use this.
(I think i may have allergies to food / my body was
so used to
sugar and rubbish that my skin was freaking out in the form of eczema / dermatitis,
so far
so good not one facial flare up in months.
The vegan cake is my classic chocolate vegan cake just amplified
so that it bakes fat, fluffy slices and the topping is a revelation - instead of butter
use sweet potato to give it sweetness, creaminess and volume without adding butter or a lot of

So when I was developing a recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies, of course I'd
use brown
sugar.
I do not add refined
sugar to food while cooking,
so I
use stevia.
I have
used a «baking blend» in the past that is mixed with a filler
so that it can be measured just like
sugar.
It is
so easy
using tapioca flour, which has the same consistency as confectioners
sugar.
Once the butter had cooled down
so it's no longer scalding, beat together the browned butter and
sugars in a large bowl
using an electric mixer on medium speed (about 30 seconds).
so we had some hazelnuts we blended in the vitamix with filtered water to the point the vitamix got warm and filtered out the fiber with a clean handkerchief (in hindsight i could of not filtered it but i like the filtered nut milk with coffee) and mixed together, but it all lacked fiber,
so we
used muesli (the perfect ingredient) to bulk up the mixture and
used brown
sugar to sweeten with all the other ingredients (i know the s word but i'm eating with a non-plant based eater).
Most baked goods need the bulk that
sugar provides —
so that's why I have
used a bit of xylitol, for the bulk.

used spelt to make them wheat free) 1 cup

so sweet) 1 tbsp cider vinegar 2 tsp vanilla extracts 16 oreos (1 packet) Icing: 1 cup non-dairy butter 3 cups icing
sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 8 oreos (1/2 packet)
I haven't
used rapadura before but it seems like it would be similar to evaporated cane
sugar so you'll still need that molasses flavour.
Also added almost 1 / 4c extra maple syrup, because my kids are
used to brownies with 3c
sugars so added a bit more.
I also
used only 1/2 Cup brown
sugar (not packed) and that's probably why I liked it
so much — not too sweet!
So now you have another recipe in your arsenal to
use after making a batch of my Gluten - Free Vegan Caramel Sauce and it's vegan, gluten - free, dairy - free, egg - free, soy - free, paleo - friendly and contains no refined
sugar.
And I had only dark brown
sugar,
so I
used a combo of that and unbleached organic
sugar.
