I will be trying this recipe without maple syrup as I think they can easily be made without — 30 ml contains about 15g of

sugar per muffin, the dates contribute 7g of
sugar, the
bananas provide just under 1.8 g
sugar per muffin, the coconut milk provides less
than a gram.
These muffins also have much lower glycemic load
than my regular muffin recipes that use dried fruits and
bananas, thus being perfect for those who struggle with blood
sugar fluctuations.
Rather
than digging into a piece of guilt - ridden cake or ice cream that's filled with refined
sugar, try eating a sweet
banana with a little organic coconut cream on top.
Also, most people prefer a sweet
