Don't think I'll be making the low
sugar version though, looking to satisfy my sweet tooth on this one!

Even
though Ranch is low carb, the store bought
versions often contain
sugar and / or other unnecessary ingredients.
I kind of goofed on the filling
though — totally forgot to add the egg and
sugar to the marscapone, but the filling still turned out great (I guess I discovered the low -
sugar version!).
The non-dairy custard is just as creamy as the original
though I did not like the burned
sugar crust as much on the coconut milk
version.
I used to make a killer
version with
sugar though..
Another benefit of using freeze dried fruit is it doesn't contain any added
sugar or vegetable oil like the standard dried
versions, so even
though freeze dried fruits are more expensive they're worth it in the long run.
Only issue that it seems as
though the supermarkets local to me in the UK seem to stock only sweetened applesauce, would you be able say how much
sugar I could / should decrease if I do use the sweetened
version?
The traditional Louise Slice
though, delicious as it is, is still a bit of a fat +
sugar + flour bomb, so here's my healthified
version for you.

though — now I can enjoy it with no guilt or worry about my blood
sugar, and, it rocks with the almond milk!
The granulated
version can be used as a table top sweetener and it has a slightly lower glycemic index than ordinary
sugar,
though not as low as coconut palm
sugar.
