There are so many ways to enjoy fresh
summer sweet corn, and this skillet corn with bacon is one of my favorites.
Corn — my family loves
summer sweet corn.
I love the addition of raw
summer sweet corn — and I really think you'll dig the fresh flavor — but if uncooked corn is a personal dealbreaker, feel free to grill your ear beforehand OR give the kernels a quick sauté in a little olive oil.
Our favourite family meal is BBQ salmon, roasted new potatoes,
summer sweet corn on the cob and fresh beans out of the garden, likely followed by some fresh berries with mint.

summer tan.
Of course,
corn ice cream makes perfect sense —
corn is good mates with dairy; and during
summer, the veg is
sweeter than strawberries, peaches, and other fruits commonly spotted in ice cream.

If I'd been thinking ahead, I would have written about something a little more fall - oriented (given that the baby wasn't born until September) rather than something celebrating the wonders of late
summer produce, because now that the recipe is live on Jenni's blog,
corn and basil and blackberries are — sadly — just a
sweet summer memory.

I've been using fresh
summer corn in darn near everything... fish taco salads,
sweet corn cake & chorizo poppers, mexican quinoa casserole and in more freshly chopped salads than I could ever possibly post on this blog -LCB- like this one with lemon garlic dressing -RCB-.

summer, just as the super
sweet Silver Queen
corn was hitting the farmers» markets, I visited one of my favorite farming families (a completely adorable elderly couple, the Snyder's, who are still farming well into their 80's, spry and gentle and delightful — amazing... Now that its warmer, our go - to
summer dinner is a salad of mixed greens, scallions, fresh
sweet corn off the cob, any other veggies from the farmers market that needs to be eatten up, and fresh dressing of garlic, half a lemon and olive oil with salt and pepper (more lemon than oil).

corn in just about everything — something about
sweet summer corn that is so hard to resist.
It's so creamy with a wonderful texture from the
sweet summer corn.
Our Approach A much - maligned vegetable, we'd like to celebrate
corn's goodness as a
sweet siren of
summer and a delicious treat to be enjoyed, as with all things, in moderation.
