I've slated Giroud plenty last season and I still think he has an issue with effort but when he does put 110 % in then he is a top CF, his super sub role has shown he isn't happy and he is trying harder on the pitch.

If Auba or even Lacazette is not able to play, you would be surprised at Nketiah and Nelson... but even Welbeck and Iwobi playing with another attacker may just become very good players that we might have not noticed about them before.

Giroud is the true definition of a super sub, the guy comes into a game when the defenders have been warn out and he does his job.
It is better for a player to make an impact when they come off the bench in a football match, of course, but at the same time you will not find too many pros who like having the tag of being a super sub, because it means they are not getting in the starting line - up.
