Visit Coaching (developed by Marty Beyer, PhD) is fundamentally different from
supervised visits because the focus is on the strengths of the family and the needs of the children.
Some custodial parents, rather than asking the judge to deny visitation rights, request that the court order
supervised visits because family courts are more receptive to supervised visits than denial of access.
