As a so called ex Arsenal legend, naively Merson doesn't seem to recognise the gravitas his words are held in and used as ammunition by those who
support rival clubs.
So why wouldn't you be endeared to him if
you support a rival club?

supporting a rival club be respectful and cognizant of the fact that it will always be a majority Arsenal crowd.

If you push for a move from a
club you claim to fully
support and love to that
club's direct
rivals and cut off all alternatives you have to expect major blowback and ill will.
If you refuse to see this clear truth, you my friend, are deluding yourself and not helping the
club you and we all
support by maintaining the status quo that is causing us to drift inexorably, further away from our other
rivals.
Wenger gives lots of promises and gets a lot of
support from from former pros and pundits but if he sells a the latter 2 to a premier league
rival I don't think the
club will survive even top 4.

rival club coming in, creating a user, and spamming my forum, most often after we lose a big game, particularly if against a team they
support.
