support of contemporary female artists, this year's programming includes a day of talks, speeches and tours focusing on the state of
women in the
arts Friday, December 5.
Notably, 1953 was also a pivotal year for de Kooning, who finally found staunch critical
support and solid financial success following the exhibition of paintings and drawings from his
