Better Recognition for Multidisciplinary

collaborative projects spanning several disciplines need to make sure they can illustrate their personal successes to
support their career advancement.
Along with seven other
projects, John's
research won HHMI
support in 2008 as part of a 4 - year, $ 40 million pilot program targeted at
collaborative and potentially transformative
research.
The awards are designed to
support inter-disciplinary,
collaborative research projects in coastal ecology which have the potential for technology development.
The study was
supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health (R01DK113144, R01DK100342, R01HL132996, R01CA112403, and R01CA193455), March of Dimes, Price Family Foundation, the National Key
