At Graphic Packaging International (GPI), we're pleased to say that we're enjoying a summer of
supporting young packaging
designers.
Several months ago I heard about a marketplace called UnCommonGoods that celebrates and
supports artisans from low income countries, the
young designer to the seasoned one.

In France, however, organisations and initiatives that help surface,
support and drive media coverage of
young designers have traditionally been few and far between.
«If you work hard and you have fresh ideas, there are many places where
young designers are
supported,» Tsitsishvili says, pointing the fact that her boutique exclusively features emerging
designers from Russia and other former Soviet Union countries, such as Georgia and Kazakhstan.
Teachers, she says, «can play an enormous role in thinking about computation as an expressive medium, and then in
supporting young learners in imagining themselves as creators, producers, and
