This is a shame as I had high hopes for this
book based on the
reviews, and although I'm
sure the recipes are great for those who can tolerate the ingredients used, I think it should be made clear at the beginning of the
book or in a section that's included in the kindle sample, that «if you're allergic to nuts this
book unfortunately just isn't for you».

Keep your instruction
book in the kitchen and
review it every now and then to make
sure you're following all of their recommendations.
You may have limited family time to spend with your child (by the time you get home from work and you eat dinner together as a family and go through your evening routines — make

book trailers (not for $ 150 tho), but if an author's end goal is to attract more readers — or even a publishing contract — they first need to get their work in front of people who can help them, and that's what the IRDAs are all about.

books and samples after they're done, and make a call to them to do so.

book trailer complete with footage from the 1936 Berlin games.
I don't recollect exactly re Tin House - but I'm
sure article submissions was a part of it; and I assume his comments also applied to people contacting about being prospective reviewers and probably authors contacting asking if their
book can be
reviewed.
I'm
sure these authors will develop a thick skin one way or the other should their
book get poorly
reviewed on Amazon or they don't generate the sales they expected (as do all authors regardless of path to publication).
Make
sure you let potential buyers know that you got a
review on Kirkus or Sci Fi Magazine or that Bill Gates loved your
book.
Please be
sure to check each site's guidelines, because many have policies regarding submissions (acceptance of erotica or other genres, the amount of notice required prior to your
book's free days, how many
reviews you must have, etc.) Many of these sites also will feature bargain priced
books.
So it's important to be
sure your
book is
reviewed in those publications.

I'm not
sure I necessarily believe this — I think it's more that people are seeing something that's common with
books that become more popular: with most titles, you'll see fewer rave 5 - star
reviews once reviewers have no connection, however loose, to you (i.e. friends of friends, readers of a blog where you were interviewed, acquaintances from Twitter, etc.).
I also left
reviews for the free
books, and I am
sure that helped future sales of those
books.
If they
review the audio of your

sure to make it clear that there's also a printed version — in which case they'll mention it in the context of the
review.
If your author friends aren't local, use Facebook Live to offer several holiday gift
book reviews and recommendations over the next few weeks — and make
sure at least one of the recommended
books was written by a friend.

reviews, and blog about topics related to your
book.
What if you reached out to a few of these people (either those you're relatively
sure will buy the
book or otherwise) and offered them a free copy of the
book if they were willing to provide a
review?
So be
sure to don your thick skin and realize that when writing a
book review, the reviewer is entitled to his or her opinion and for every 10 — 20 positive
reviews, there's bound to be at least one critical or negative
review.
