It is however a physically demanding activity and we ask that you listen and take on board the instructions and
surf safety advice given to you by your surf coach.

surfing safety rules or refreshing and upgrading your previous skills with the help of our experienced instructors.
The course covers all aspects of surf education
including surf safety, surfing & coaching techniques along with group management.
SURFING — Our taster family friendly surf lessons are perfect for learning the basics
of surf safety, controlling the surfboard and of course riding waves.
For beginners, before entering the water, the instructor provides a detailed safety talk for approximately 15 minutes where he / she will explain
basic surf safety instruction and then demonstrate the main surf positions and correct posture.
Our qualified coaches will cover everything
from surf safety and ocean awareness, to paddling technique and how to stand up and surf the waves.
Intermediate level class — This is 2 hour in gentle waves class that includes ocean
knowledge surfing safety and etiquette, duck dives / angle drop - ins, front side turns and back side turns.
Travis took us through a daily comprehensive on - sand training that included such touchpoints as how to walk in the ocean (you drag your feet forward along the ocean floor - not up and down steps, which could have you stepping on and harming marine life), knowing the parts of the surfboard, how waves are formed, the importance of tides and reading the ocean,
ocean surfing safety, and, of course, surfing technique.

All beach lifeguard qualifications are only valid for two years before a refresher course is needed for the award to continue to be valid, keeping all lifeguards up to date with best practice and
surf safety.
Surf safety and ocean awareness is our highest priority which our instructors will ensure you become well trained in.
We are a fully insured company with properly trained instructors in water and
surf safety, CPR and First Aid.
Instructors will analyze your current surf skills and keep track of your progress, providing you with the necessary feedback to work on specific points of improvement such as Paddling, Popping up,
Surf Safety, and Surf Etiquette.
