effective thrillers — his last outing was the criminally undervalued Edge of Tomorrow — and on that level, The Wall
surprisingly works.
Surprisingly, it's a very
effective and entertaining
thriller, with a few moments even better than that.
This consistency of theme, combined with a fairly
effective road movie and a nice central performance from Pitt make it a
surprisingly great
thriller, and well worth checking out.
But The Butterfly Effect is such an
effective, gripping time - traveling
thriller, not even Kutcher could ruin it (he gives a
surprisingly decent performance, anyway).
