In February 2017, the Portuguese government commissioned a national reference group to draw up a document entitled the «Profile of
students dropping out of compulsory schooling» (Martins et al., 2017) with the following components: (a) a humanistic profile; (b) educating by teaching
for practical achievement of learning; (c) making inclusion a requisite of
education; (d) contributing to
