There are a lot of different options to choose from but I find that after the first few months of
swaddling this is the next best thing to keep your baby
warm and to know that they will not suffocate wrapped
in a
blanket.
There are a lot of different types of zipper bags and stretchy material, things that you can kind of put them
in and I just like the square
blanket because
in it... the square
swaddle, they are so universal, you can lay them down, can use it for a changing mat and you can use them for breastfeeding, as a cover - up or for spit up or for keeping them
warm in a stroller and then also for
swaddles.
You can go with eco-friendly organic cotton
blankets, ultra-plush polyester
blankets, beautiful handmade cable - knit
blankets with an heirloom look, or even clever sleep sacks, which are wearable
blankets that keep baby
swaddled and
warm (and they're safer than using a traditional receiving
blanket in his crib.)
Instead keep your baby comfortably
warm and safe
in a
swaddle wrap or wearable
blanket.
We always have the heater on
in our house so if I were to
swaddle her
in the typical thick,
warm winter
blanket on top of her sleeper she would be way too hot so these work great for the winter months too.
The
warm water will relax your needy baby and make them sleepy — then wrap them up
in a soft
swaddling blanket, and your baby will be asleep
in no time!
