It is my favorite shredded curly kale as a base, with wonderful buttery roasted sugar pumpkin, a little creamy goat cheese, sour cranberries,
sweet candied pecans and a shallot vinaigrette.
While I was crunching away on
these sweet candied pecans, I was inspired to cook with them.
Not exact matches
I watched as she made
candied yams
sweet potatoes with bacon and
pecans in a sticky sorghum syrup and I knew at once I had to recreate it.
The
Candied Pecans add a
sweet crunch to all the other components.
Gluten free, dairy free and paleo - friendly pancakes topped with a
sweet cashew butter spread, fruit,
candied pecans and pure maple syrup.
And then sprinkling of
sweet candied spiced
pecans that just scream Autumn.
What's in it: 1 cup steal cut oats 1/2 cup quinoa (any color is fine), rinsed 1 14.5 oz can pumpkin puree 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice (or 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg) 1 tablespoon maple syrup (admit for no sugar added, add more if you like a
sweeter oatmeal) 3 1/2 cups water 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any other milk you like) Topping options (any combination of your favorites): pomegranate seeds, chopped apples or pears, chia seeds, hemp hearts, pumpkin seeds, toasted or
candied pecans, slivered almonds, roasted coconut chips, (brown sugar or maple syrup if you have a
sweet tooth).
The strawberries, the blue cheese, the green onions and the unexpected pop of
sweet crunch - the
candied pecans make this a fun combination of flavors.
Ingredients: - 2
sweet potatoes, diced into cubes - 3 medium sized beets, peeled and diced into cubes - 16 oz of Brussel sprouts, sliced in half - 1 small onion, thinly sliced - 5 oz of
candied pecans, - crumbled goat cheese - olive oil for roasting - salt & pepper for taste Dressing - mix equal parts of: dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, and honey.
Roasted beets, brussel sprouts,
sweet potato, onion,
candied pecans, goat cheese, and a honey mustard dressing married together in perfect autumn matrimony.
The little hint of salt whisked into the sugar keeps the
pecans from being cloyingly
sweet and makes the finished
candied pecans equally at home as a just -
sweet - enough snack that packs a protein punch, on top of dessert, or on a salad.
The feta adds a hint of tartness, the peaches a hint of
sweet, the basil a savory flavor, and the
candied pecans more texture richness!
I too do something very similar — one of my
sweet favorites is
candied pecans, cranberries, white chocolate and cinnamon.

The combination of creamy

In this delicious dessert, tender spice cake is layered with maple - sugar frosting,
candied pecans, and a salty -
sweet caramel sauce.
And, I didn't use
candied pecans (again it would be too
sweet for me); instead, I just roasted them.
Hard to pick a favorite... either
candied pecans sprinkled on a spinach salad or hazelnuts in nutella form or almonds in some
sweet & salty combination.
Let me tell ya, my guests really enjoyed munching away on their
sweet potato rounds topped with ity bitty pieces of
candied pecans over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Much too
sweet for my taste, and I didn't use
candied pecans!
