It isn't overly sweet like some carrot cakes that you would have for dessert.

Compared to more bread - like muffins with a dense texture, like my carrot muffins or oat and spelt muffins, these were fruity, sweet, and soft — more like a dessert than a breakfast.

Note that as my family loves carrot cake but does not like a super sweet dessert, I did not spread the caramel on the top but drizzled it lightly and it was enough for us.

That's not too bad, because a pancake isn't a terribly sweet cake, until you go and model it after some dessert cake, like carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

I know there is a lot of versions of carrot pudding cakes out there, the reason I like this one is that is it not too sweet and goes really well as a side dish vs. dessert.

When I got my juicer, it was the first thing we made with it, and honestly it almost tastes sweet like dessert if you get really good fresh carrots.

The sweet nature of carrots make them good for desserts, such as cakes or jams.
