little banana, then you get the crunchy almonds and the yoghurt and chocolate sauce...
Sadly they're
not as soft or
sweet, so you could try soaking them a
little in boiling water first to help soften them x
I think coconut milk would probably work fine, but you might want to add
little extra sweetener as I don't think it would be as
sweet as apple juice.
Really sadly I don't think there is a replacement for the dates as they really stick the whole thing together, it may work to try making them with a
little more
sweet potato and a
little more maple syrup but I can't promise anything as I haven't tried it!
I think that my liquidiser isn't quite as good as yours so I needed to add a
little of the steaming water to blend the dates and
sweet potatoes - I was worried but it worked brilliantly.
I know that dessert for one sounds a
little sad, but how often do you crave something
sweet and then decide that making something super healthy yet really
sweet is either too hard or too complicated, and of course you probably don't want to end up with a whole fridge full of cake at the end!
Hi Janice, yes the porridge would hold up without it but it might
not be as
sweet or as large a portion, so you could boosting the other ingredients or adding a
little extra honey or pure maple syrup.
I add a
little less honey as I don't like it too

It's
not hard — just a
little cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon in the center, and a
sweet and tangy brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard sauce on top.
They won't be as
sweet if you omit sugar, but will still be a delightful
little snack.
These
little choco - nana treats are airy,
not overly
sweet, and have a je ne sais quoi flavor (hint: it's the lemon zest).
I have
not had any cravings for
sweets and my hunger has gotten a
little better.
I didn't decorate them with icing, but I sprinkled a
little bit of unrefined organic cane sugar on top and they are so delicious and perfectly
sweet.
If you find they aren't
sweet enough you can always make brownie icing on the side for those who need a
little extra.
-1 slice of orange peel - a
little squeeze of fresh orange juice (skip this if you don't want it as
sweet) 2 ounces (60 ml) good - quality rye or bourbon 1 maraschino cherry (we prefer the Luxardo cocktail cherries)
It's a
little bit nutty and isn't too
sweet but if you're daunted by caramel making you can always stick with the jam if you want!

Of course they're different in taste and texture, and it's
not like I don't enjoy the real deal, buttery and sugary brownies (even if I do like them a

sweet now), but I will gladly choose these as a very healthy replacement for everyday chocolate cravings and save the real brownies for only very special occasions.
You maybe are surprised that this recipe in particular call for Dulce de Leche and I'm sure you are like, that is a
little weird, but, let me tell you Dulce de Leche is huge in Costa Rica, we use it in all our
sweet desserts, pastries and more, and I'm so happy that I can find it here, because this Arroz con Leche won't be the same without the flavor of this delicious
sweet mixture.
A few things I will do differently, 2 layers so the some can fit cover the cake and
not add all the powdered sugar initially - just a
little too
sweet for us.
Bars were a delicious treat, though I'd cut back on the maple syrup a
little if I were making these as a breakfast bar, they err on dessert level
sweet to me...
not sure if that would make the dough too crumbly?

not an expert, but I think the barley is less

little richer in flavor.
The prepared stuff tends to be overly
sweet and full of ingredients I can't pronounce and, with
little exception, all tastes the same to me.
I love
sweet, British strawberries so why
not try them with a
little rich tang from the balsamic vinegar which I equally love.
I am just transitioning into this food lifestyle and so far have been avoiding anything
