This bowl has been on repeat at my house as I've recently become infatuated with using frozen
sweet peas in my smoothies as an alternative to fruit.
chef notes: Ok, honestly I was out of sweet peas for this version, so it's actually without
the sweet peas in these photos.
Pot pie doesn't have to feel heavy — this spring version features tender leeks, creamy new potatoes, and
sweet peas in a light, lemony sauce.
If you're not growing
sweet peas in your garden, then look for full, green pea pods at your local farmers» market, farm stand, or grocery store.
I don't remember a sweeter smell than
those sweet peas in the early evening when mama sat in Annie's rocker out there by the sweet peas.
