from the blog, including

bread as I know that none of us can live without those!

After reading this I switched my rice, pastas and
breads from white to wholegrain varieties and my white
potatoes to
sweet potatoes.
Let's get real, your body would much rather you get your carbs
from sweet potatoes, than a loaf of
bread.
I have done much reading and
from it all; it seems the healthiest way is to get rid of the white flour
bread, white flour pasta, sugar, soda,
potato chips, white rice, sugary juice; and consume lots of leafy greens,
sweet potatoes, pistachios, creamy unsweetened peanut butter, whole grains, whole fruit, unsweetened coconut milk (which is so GOOD!)

This means that I typically eat about 100 - 200g of carbs
from sources such as
sweet potato, yam, taro, slow - fermented sourdough
bread, berries, soaked and rinsed quinoa, amaranth, millet, etc. — along with a touch of dark chocolate and red wine.
Mind you, I'm not talking about
bread and pasta and pizza, but detailed studies of centenarian diets show that over 80 percent of calories in their diet comes
from vegetables, fruit, legumes, and complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains, brown rice, oats, and
sweet potatoes.
