sweet potato and their roasted cauliflower.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love
sweet potatoes, they're my all time favourite
vegetable and I could happily eat them for every meal!
In an upright blender, combine 1/3 of the amount of the roasted
sweet potatoes, 1/4 avocado, nutritional yeast, chipotle, a splash of tamari, lime juice, 1/2 cup salsa, and 1/4 cup
vegetable broth or water until smooth.
Add the onion and
sweet potato and cook, stirring occasionally, until the
sweet potato is cooked through, adjusting the heat as necessary so the
vegetables brown nicely but do not burn (15 - 20 minutes).

sweet potato mash with a side of roasted Romanesco cauliflower, a beautiful and weird looking
vegetable that showed up in this week's CSA.
Follow the basic recipe instructions on top, using a simplified and more economical ingredient list: 1 medium onion, 1 large
sweet potato, 2 large carrots, 1 cup canned crushed pineapple (1/2 cup reconstituted frozen orange juice if crushed pineapple is hard to get), 1 cup raisins, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, 1/3 cup
vegetable oil, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

sweet potatoes hogging our counter space this fall, we decided to see if there was a way to sneak the orange
vegetable into our flapjacks.
Making veggie chips out of root
vegetables, such as beets,
sweet potatoes, or yams is a bit trickier.
Try to reduce the consumption of refined carbohydrates as they cause inflammation in the skin — instead of white bread, go for gluten - free whole grain bread or choose lower G.I. carbs like
sweet potato, or load up on
vegetables like broccoli and asparagus and eat a smaller portion of carbs if forgoing carbs is too unpleasant.
This Jamaican
vegetable soup is bursting with the well know Jamaican flavours of rice and peas,
sweet potato, fresh thyme, allspice, peppers and chilli.
It is also so versatile that any ingredients can be added or substituted like lentils, other
vegetables and the
potatoes can even be substituted for

I love
sweet n» salty, and
sweet potatoes are one of the best
vegetables for it.
You need to eat your
sweet potato with a source of fat so that all the lovely nutrients (beta - carotene —
vegetable Vitamin A, etc) are absorbed by the body.
Yams (often mislabeled as
sweet potatoes in the grocery store) are a starchy, dry
vegetable that originated in Africa and Asia.
Once I had all this
vegetable situation ready, I seasoned the shrimp with about a teaspoon of paprika, ancho chili powder, garlic and salt and sautéed them using the same pan from the zucchini and
sweet potato.
