But, in the midst of a gentle rain, while these thoughts prevailed, I was suddenly sensible of such
sweet and beneficent society in Nature, in the very pattering of the drops, and in every sight and
sound around my house, an infinite and unaccountable friendliness all at once, like an atmosphere, sustaining me, as
made the fancied advantages of human neighborhood insignificant, and I have never thought of them since.
I've had a similar experience... without wanting to
sound negative, I have
made a couple of the
sweet recipes and did not like them at all (the choc chia cookies and
sweet potato brownies)... I have
made quite a lot of raw or cooked «clean» deserts that tasted great but these were not good at all.
I especially loved their I am Whole bowl, which is
made up of mashed
sweet potato, adzuki beans, sautéed kale, housemade kim chee, sea palm, black sesame seed gomasio, teriyaki almonds, garlic tahini sauce and either local brown rice or quinoa — it tasted even better than it
sounds too!
I know that dessert for one
sounds a little sad, but how often do you crave something
sweet and then decide that
making something super healthy yet really
sweet is either too hard or too complicated, and of course you probably don't want to end up with a whole fridge full of cake at the end!
The
sweet potatoe mash
sounds delicious and I love the pairibg of black beans and spinach — going to
make this asap!
I'm with everyone else and would not have thought to
make ice cream from
sweet potatoes but the texture looks great and the flavor
sounds unique and tasty.

sounds vaguely Tex - Mex, although I gather from the measurements in your recipe that you're from the other side of the pond, so you'll probably raise an eyebrow at that (with black beans, pinto beans, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, chilli flakes and cheddar, then served with
sweet potato wedges).

As odd as it
sounds, melon and radish actually
make a wonderful salad combination; the
sweet and soft cantaloupe balances out the crunchy and spicy radish quite perfectly.
