I am guessing it's not
sweetened drinking milk from the refridgerated case since there is quite a bit of additional sugar in the chocolate topping.

Although I wish they'd use dates to
sweeten this
drink instead of agave, the flavor of the
milk was mild and pleasant, and not overly sweet.
If you want to
sweeten the
drink, I suggest adding sugar to the espresso before adding it to the cold
milk so that it dissolves.

milk consumption being higher by 2 %, implying that
milk is a substitute for sugar
sweetened drinks.
However, other authors have voiced concerns about consumption of artificial sweeteners, because they may promote an appetite for sweet things, they harm bone and dental health, and their long term safety profile is not precisely clear.55 However, the European Food Safety Agency recently concluded that aspartame, the most common artificial sweetener, is safe at present consumption levels.56 The shift to
milk consumption as sugar
sweetened drink consumption falls might be expected.
But then I learned that Flavored
milk contributes only 4 % of the added sugars to children's diets ages 2 - 18, while soft
drinks and non-carbonated
sweetened beverages contribute about 46 % of the added sugars.
That means simpler pour - overs and espresso - based
drinks have elbowed
sweetened, flavored blends off of menus, and come with new choices of alternative
milks and sugars.

If you're going to use the oat

And I totally agree that I'd rather have my child
drink sugar -
sweetened milk than
milk with non nutritive sweeteners.
This will lead to unhealthy eating habits in the long run and may mean that you always have to
sweeten milk in order for your child to be willing to
drink it.
While this technique can prove helpful, try not to take it too far by offering flavored or
sweetened milk in the sippy cup to entice your child to
drink it.

Other studies have found that kids in the national school lunch program
drink more
milk and eat fewer snack foods, sweets and
sweetened beverages than others.
Kids may be less likely to
drink enough
milk if soda and other sugar -
sweetened beverages are available.
Even if a child isn't

sweetened beverages such as flavored
milk,
sweetened teas and sports
drinks.

The scientists ran an experiment on a group of rats of varying ages, allowing the animals to
drink as much
sweetened condensed
milk as they wanted.
Make over your
drink: Stick with coffee with
milk, adding a packet of sugar yourself or
sweetening it up with a shake or two of cinnamon or nutmeg at the barista bar.
By simply substituting whole
milk for non-fat, regular soda for diet soda,
sweetened drinks for natural favored waters, you will be able to achieve a healthier daily routine consuming far less calories.
Traditional recipes use
sweetened condensed
milk to both
sweeten and thicken the
drink.
This includes: soda, fruit juice, energy
drinks,
sweetened coffee or tea, packaged snacks like cookies and candy, sweeteners (even the natural ones like raw honey and maple syrup), and conventional (non-organic and pasteurized) cow's
milk and dairy products (choose raw
milk or pasture - raised, grass - fed, and organic dairy instead).
Should we
drink milk in the same moderation as sugar
sweetened beverages?
If you pack your smoothie with sweet ingredients — ice cream, flavored yogurt,
sweetened almond
milk, honey or too much frozen fruit — you'll be adding significantly to your daily sugar intake, which increases the
drink's calorie count and may lead to blood sugar spikes.
Besides that, this research has shown that people who often
drink sweetened beverages are less inclined to
drink milk and dairy products, their calcium intake is significantly lower that the recommended, and this results in fragile bones and compromised metabolism in general.
I think a better analogy than the sugar
sweetened coffee for this research would be the argument that chocolate
milk is a good way to get kids to
drink milk or that baking apples into a pie is a good way to encourage fruit consumption.
For the first two weeks after starting a low carb diet, avoid fruits, berries, pasta, rice,
milk, nuts, alcohol and artificially
sweetened soft
drinks!
It was somewhat reminiscent of
drinking sweetened condensed
milk (if you like that sort of thing), so it wasn't lacking in sweetness.
Your child will likely have to eliminate most fruits and fruit juices from his diet and should not
drink sweetened sports
drinks or flavored
milk.
Kids and young people are not consuming enough water, rather picking sugar -
sweetened refreshments (soft
drinks, sports and caffeinated
drinks,
milks, coffees, and fruit - flavored
drinks with added sugars), 100 % natural product juice, and different
drinks.
