Do you have any thoughts on how I would go about using an unrefined
sweetener (
honey, coconut sugar, etc.)
in place of the stevia?
Generally speaking, liquid
sweeteners can be swapped out (such as
honey for the maple syrup) and probably some other flaked grains could be used
in place of the oats.
Monk fruit and other no - and low - calorie
sweeteners can help with calorie and carbohydrate management when used
in place of sugar or other full - calorie
sweeteners (like
honey or agave syrup).
Your recently dates recipes as the
sweetener in cookies, would it work with your flourless peanut butter cookies
in place of the
honey?

sweetener alternatives
in this recipe, I have substituted stevia
in place of agave or
honey in many
of Elana's recipes with fairly good results and I'm sure this scone recipe would be the same.
But did you really use 1 1/4 cups
of your
sweetener in place of 1/3 cup
of honey?
Agave is also quickly crossing over from the health food market to mainstream grocery chains, and consumers (especially vegans and raw food enthusiasts) are buying up bottles
of the stuff to use
in place of other
sweeteners, like
honey.
I'm just switching things up and using alternative
sweeteners in place of all that
honey and maple syrup!
The reason being - I'm currently on day 15
of a 21 day purification (Standard Process) and have been using a lot
of stevia
in place of honey or other
sweeteners.
