Well pink might be hip, but I'm telling
you those swine walls needed to decide if they were going to fully embrace pink or be confidently beige because the combination was not flattering.

This is what the room looked like when we moved in,
swine walls (the lighting in this picture make the walls look more tan but at many times of the day it was icky pinky flesh colored), tan carpet I wasn't in love with, but great windows that let in a lot of light and a nice overall feel to the room with a higher peaked ceiling.

Alas, I was not prepared to repaint my entire house of woodwork when I'm still busy eliminating

I live in a rental house, and there's nothing I can do about
my swine walls!
But as I've mentioned,
the swine walls give everything a sickly mauve glow instead of the warmth I want.
The lower level family room room looked great from this angle with the white brick fireplace and a new chair as a great starting point, but we still had all
the swine walls surrounding it (see the chaos below) so it will be fun to have a clean slate in this room, too.
I am not even going to show you all the rooms with
swine walls because it would make this post five times as long and ten times as depressing.

swine for my own

Remember where we started with the
swine - colored
walls, pink blinds and old carpet?
Besides the new
wall that was installed (more to come on that), we've painted the
swine - colored
walls and fireplace (Simply White Benjamin Moore), added some trim around the fireplace (to fill in big gaps between the brick and the drywall), removed the pink blinds (still thinking about what blinds we'd want down here) and installed the new Mohawk flooring.
No more
swine colored
walls.
I feel your pain since I have
swine colored tile all over my master bathroom — the floors,
walls, counter, ceiling, and the toilet.
We call them
swine around here because it's an amusing way for us to picture them, but there is nothing «uncool» about tan or pink or any other color people might like for their
walls.

We've lived with the original
swine colored
walls, towels in the windows and now oh - so - horrid - carpet.
