This
skirt is based on the Jasmine style,
which as I've mentioned before is my favourite
swing skirt.
Anyway, three things happened to bring the idea for this post together: 1) B found the perfect western - style shirt, after hunting for one forever, 2) around the same time, I picked up a denim
swing skirt,
which had been on my hitlist for a long time too and 3) I remembered my very small, but much - loved collection of cowboy boots.
I saw the pencil
skirt in person and it is gorgeous, but I didn't see the mint tank,
which is amazing - I'm going to
swing by H&M after work to see if I can snag one!
Because of the cotton, the
skirt remains so wide,
which is actually the intention of a
swing dress.
The seaming in the back and through the waist is made to hug your body before flatteringly dropping away to the full
skirt,
which can fully cover a petticoat puffed full
swing skirt without straining.
It's such a pretty and seasonal appropriate floral print that for a while I couldn't decide
which piece I wanted of those made in this print; the
swing skirt, or dress, or pencil dress?
Tatyana Tatyana has the Miranda dress,
which I want badly because, hello, plaid, a
swing skirt AND sleeves!
