Turning
pages is not as easy as just tapping on the right - hand or left - hand corner, but
require a
swiping motion which quickly gets old, fast.
All the
pages were designed as units (in other words, no oversized
pages), with features
requiring scrolling to reach the next
page, and
swiping to move on to the next feature or ad.
Turning
pages requires a
swipe or tap on the side of the screen you want (left for back, right for forward).
Just tap or
swipe to change
pages — no buttons
required.
While most text - oriented iPhone apps give you up / down scrolling to view more text, Kindle for iPhone tries to simulate the
pages of a book, so it
requires you to
swipe your finger left or right to view the previous and next
pages, respectively.
Notable among them is its truly awful e-reading app which inexplicably
requires scrolling through the ebooks (none of the easy
page swipes that are offererd by all other e-readers); and it offers only basic formatting and a minimalist feature set.
Even
swiping to turn
pages can be sluggish and can
require a couple of finger drags to get it moving.
Turning a
page simply
requires the light
swipe of a finger over the text.
But even with
page swipes, I thought the pressure
required to accomplish tasks was unnecessarily hard, and nothing like what I'm used to on, say, a Palm Treo 680 or an Apple iPhone.
