Here's what I changed: I used a 15 - oz can of pumpkin (not pie filling — just pumpkin puree) in place of the bananas; I swapped out the spices for about 1 tsp each of cinnamon and ginger, and mixed those in with the pumpkin first; I opted for the larger volume of maple
syrup from the original
recipe, as the pumpkin wouldn't contribute sweetness the way the bananas do; I baked the batter as a dozen standard muffins, which took about 20 minutes at 350.
What a delightful granola
recipe — and we don't commonly have molasses over
here, but I feel like golden
syrup (a really thick sugary
syrup made from sugar cane) would be the perfect substitute.

I've never tried golden
syrup as it's not as common
here in the US, but I've been seeing a lot of
recipes with it on European blogs and this may just be the thing that gets me to finally buy it.
I tried this
recipe this morning with a couple of alterations of coconut oil instead of grape seed oil (as I did not have grape seed oil) regular salt, (no celtic salt
here in New Zealand, and I used molasses again, I have not found yakon
syrup here in New Zealand.

As Sara said, you need about 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp maple
syrup to triple the
recipe, but the other measurements aren't that user friendly for 4 times the
recipe so
here it is:
1 bunch radishes — tops removed 2 tablespoons ghee (I've also tried unrefined neutral coconut oil
here, it works well) 2 garlic cloves — minced pinch of sea salt 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar 2 teaspoons raw honey or pure maple
syrup about 3 cups arugula or other salad greens (the original
recipe calls for dandelion) smoked sea salt — for sprinkling over the salad sunflower sprouts or other microgreens for garnish — optional

here now too, but now I can just try the
recipe as written, before fiddling with them (parboil in maple
syrup?).

In a traditional
recipe, sugar or high fructose corn
syrup thickens the mixture, and since we don't have that
here, the gums help to keep it thick.

So I just made these and as well they are really bitter and really bland even after adding in 1/4 cup of maple
syrup... I see it's either love or hate... and while i think it's a good
recipe it doesn't have that decadent sweet tooth fix... they are not at all sweet or rich... but ive noticed this about other
recipes as well to the people that complained and need something rich and sweet I'd suggest sticking with raw vegan brownies over cooked paleo brownies the
recipe itself isn't bad it's just not suited for all taste buds... however I learned about date paste from
here and best thing ever!
