The RTM hypothesis is that the immune
systems of people who reach the ages at which AS, beta - amyloid, and other pathological aggregates begin to accumulate would generate antibodies
against their abnormal form, and that people who remain free of these
specific diseases might be producing antibodies that are particularly effective at keeping these aggregates at bay.
