tablet shipments declined once again, this time by 3.4 % on a yearly basis.

tablet shipments declined 14.7 percent during the first quarter of 2016 (1Q16).
As a result, global
tablet shipments declined for the first time ever in the last quarter of 2014.
The latest comes from analysis firm IDC, which found that
tablet shipments declined 12.3 per cent year - over-year in the April - to - June quarter.
As for Samsung, the Korean electronics giant saw
its tablet shipments decline from 13.5 million to 11 million, while its market share decreased from 17.2 percent to 14.5 percent.
