What I do use my
tablets for is to watch movies, surf the web, read
email, do school
work, take notes in meetings, edit documents heavily while on the go, read magazines, shop, and listen to music.
During tradeshows, the
tablet becomes my main
email device — that's particularly true with 4G
tablets (not the case here) as their long battery life provides previous relief
for my laptop that I need
for critical tasks that can't be done on the
tablet (custom software,
work comfort, video - editing, file manipulation...).

I use mine three to four times a day
for about 30 minutes at a time
for email, basic web surfing and app use (during a bus commute to and from
work, during lunch and occasionally in the evening if I'm away from home and have my
tablet with me).
But the everyday things we use
tablets for — watching movies, playing games, browsing the web, checking
email, and getting some light
work done — still haven't changed much in 2015.
