The tabs on this diaper are worth mentioning.
If you can not wake your baby up, and you have tried the follow things: A warm washcloth bath, tickled ribs and shoulders, massaged the palms of the hands, and you've even tried the dreaded «fake out the baby by pulling the velcro
tab on the diaper» trick?
If you tear one of
the tabs on your diaper, don't throw it away.
I also like the stretchy
tabs on these diapers... way cool.
I noticed that the longer they baked the more the crossover
tabs on the diapers began to shrivel and burn.
Not exact matches
One important thing when washing PUL
diaper covers is making sure you use the laundry
tabs on the aplix versions.
Finally, wrap the
tabs found
on the
diaper cover's back left and right «wings» around the baby to the front panel and secure.
The cross over snaps
on the
tabs, although not needed to fit Petit Prince, make the
diaper especially teeny at the smallest rise setting, and that means it really will fit a newborn right from birth.
As there are no laundry
tabs for the hook & loop
on the GroVia O.N.E.
diaper, GroVia recommends that you remove the hook & loop strips before washing.
Cloth
diapers and covers that use snaps require a little more adjustment, since you're securing the
diaper with fixed snap locations, rather than just securing the
tabs on a Velcro strip across the waistband.
The second snap (inner snap)
on the
tabs of the
diaper help to prevent the dreaded wing droop which is especially important with a single row of snaps.

I secured the
diaper cover with the hook & loop closure
tabs already
on the
diaper.
Each
diaper includes a special heart snap
on the
tab in true Care Bear style.
I'm in the process of replacing the velcro and laundry
tabs on 8 of my bumGenius pocket
diapers.
My only suggestion would be for them to start including a new strip of material for the velcro side
tabs to attach to
on the front of the
diaper.
A quick question — did you not find that you also needed to replace the long strip of non-sticky Velcro
on the front of the
diaper, where the
tabs attach?
The
tabs are kind of amazing, and I've learned these are a standard feature
on all bumGenius
diapers.
If you don't remember to close the
tabs they will stick together or
on other things in the washing machine, creating a
diaper train!
bumGenius
diapers are an exception, as they use a stretchy material
on the
tabs that allows for more flexibility.
I destroyed the velcro
tabs on my first two velcro
diapers because I had no idea that they needed special attention.
Typically the material used
on the
tabs is the same as the rest of the
diaper.
Hip snaps are an extra snap
on the
tab that can connect to the bottom row of a Two Row Snaps
diaper.
Be sure to keep your velcro secured onto the waistband (and turn
diaper inside out to clean) or
on the laundry
tabs when washing.
Use fold - over laundry
tabs to keep hook & loop fresh and prevent catching
on other
diapers.
** When the hook & loop fold - over
tabs are not used (see alternative
tab folding) This will cause faster than normal wear
on your
diapering products.
Some cloth
diapers come with built - in snaps or
tabs to secure the
diaper on your baby.
Pocket
Diapers go
on like a disposable
diaper - wrap
tabs around baby and snap or Velcro closed.

tab located
on the back of the pocket intended for laundry.
Each
diaper comes with sling
tabs on each end for ease of adjusting.
The advantage to this is that when the
diaper is used
on larger children where the hip snap can't be used, that hip snap
on the
tab is a female snap which is more comfortable than a male snap against baby's skin.
They also have little
tabs over the grip claw so you don't hurt your fingers when placing them
on the
diaper.
We had several separate orders of Seventh Generation
diapers that had some sort of defect with them - one package contained
diapers without ruching
on one side of the
diapers (made for very frequent leaks
on the one side), another package had
tabs that kept ripping straight off the

Close the
tabs on the front of the
diaper and notice if they close easily or if you have to pull the
tabs to get them to close.
Most of the waterproof cloth
diaper pail liners have a small square fleece
tab on the inside just for this purpose.
The waistband and
tabs are not the best, and they make it hard to put the
diaper on a baby that is moving around.
